The Oswego County 250th Commission is excited to announce a contest that is open to students in grades K-12: 

The Oswego County 250th Contest allows for students to submit original written responses, video responses, or artwork that responds to the following prompt: 

In an original essay, video, or piece of artwork, tell a story - your own, your family’s or an ancestor’s - that helps explain how Oswego County became the community it is today.

Students can submit their responses via email to: Oswego250th@outlook.com. If they are unable to submit a response electronically, please email Oswego250th@outlook.com to make additional arrangements. 

The deadline for submissions is 11:59pm on Thursday, May 15th, 2026.
